General program

We are proud to present scholars, influential to the entire world of psychology like Philip Zimbardo and Paul Costa. Of the multitude of other presentations, we mention only a few: Ann Phoenix on the interconnectedness of personal experiences and process of social change, Nigel Nicholson has lessons from evolutionary psychology to modern organizations, and David Clark about central issues of modern clinical reality and how to increase public access to psychological treatments.

 
The proverb for the Congress, "A rapidly changing world - challenges for psychology", is manifested through five different strands:
 
Peace, Human Rights and Psychology
Psychology are becoming increasingly more important with regard to negotiations, post-conflicts issues, human rights, children's situation in conflicts, and challenges between psychological practice and human rights.

 

Contemporary Changes and Diversities in Everyday Lives
What has psychology to offer with regard to the changes in the format of everyday lives that follow from demographic changes, as the new gender division of work, increased divorce rates, or immigration changing neighbourhoods and schools?
 
Teaching Psychology
Changing educational structures and increasing student diversity within European psychology education are address by encouraging an evidence-informed approach to changing the way we teach.
 
 

We can also present an interesting program with keynote and state of the art addresses and invited symposia to the field of Organizational Psychology, one of the areas most affected by the rapid changes and where healthy change is one of many researched topics. Tests and testing touches everyone at some time in their life - it may be for work, for school, for health or for leisure related reasons.
